Crystal Guide: Turquoise

Turquoise

Turquoise is considered to be a bridge between Heaven/Sky and Earth, grounding us while still remaining open to Spirit. Many Native American cultures believe turquoise aids in connecting the mind to the infinite possibilities of the Universe. It is a wonderful tool to use when removing and releasing old behaviors that no longer serve in growth. Call on turquoise to release old vows, express freely, and calm nerves when public speaking.

Interesting Facts

~The mineral turquoise is formed by a chemical reaction which occurs when water containing specific minerals such as copper and aluminum leak through a rock.

~One of the earliest known turquoise-producing regions is Persia, where historians believe the stone has been mined for more than 2,000 years.

~For centuries, the most valuable turquoise came from Iran (Persia) but today some specimens mined in the southwestern United States compete with it.
